Vehicle Registration
The delivering dealer or Velcor through CVR will register the new vehicles before your driver picks up his/her new vehicle. Whenever possible, Velcor will transfer your license plates to the new vehicle. If you don't have license plates to transfer, either Velcor or the delivering dealer will acquire new license plates for your driver.
Annual Renewals
Velcor will renew the vehicle license plates each year for our customers. There is no additional fee for this service.
Sales & Property Taxes
All property tax bills are paid by Velcor on behalf of the lessee and invoiced to the customer as they are incurred. Sales tax is paid on a monthly basis in all states that allow a tax-exempt status. Sales tax is paid up front in all other states.
Computerized Vehicle Registration (CVR)
Velcor is on-line with the Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Department. This allows us to register all new vehicles in Wisconsin prior to our clients taking delivery of their new vehicle. We issue new license plates immediately on your new vehicles as well as on the used vehicles you sell to drivers, employees or other individuals. No more waiting for your license plates to arrive.
State Changes
Velcor will process the license and title work for drivers as they change from state to state. The driver is only involved when a vehicle inspection is required.
DMVR
Driver's Motor Vehicle Record (DMVR) is a program to check the driver license record of your drivers or anyone else authorized to drive a company vehicle. You can check the driver's license record of prospective new employees who are assigned a company vehicle or obtain an annual report on each driver with a company vehicle. This program will itemize moving violations, accidents and speeding tickets received by your drivers.
Parking Ticket Administration
As parking tickets are received, they are forwarded to the driver. If a judgment is issued against Velcor, we will pay the ticket and invoice the customer for the cost of the ticket. There is no additional fee for processing a parking ticket.
